Ian Coleman Art Prints

As a boy in Venezuela, Ian Coleman was surrounded by wildlife; he painted what he saw and became fascinated by the natural world. After schooling in England, Coleman became an illustrator and then, in his late twenties, a painter. His reputation for painting mammals, birds, and marine fish grew. Coleman moved to Australia and then to the United States, painting wildlife, especially on commission from the scuba diving world. In 1996 he was accepted into the prestigious Society of Animal Artists (U.S.); his work has been selected for their annual national tours ever since. Coleman received the Society's Award of Excellence in 1998 and again in 2000 for two of his paintings. Coleman was awarded "Highly Commended" at two other prestigious exhibitions: the 1999 Annual National Exhibition of Wildlife Art in Liverpool, England, and the 2000 Wildlife Art Society Exhibition in Bristol, England. Coleman's work has been featured on national television in the United Kingdom. His work can also be found in collections in the United States, New Zealand, France, Italy, Amsterdam, and the United Kingdom.
