Janet Mandel Wall Art

Janet Mandel has worked as a professional artist for close to 50 years. The artist has received both regional and international recognition during her career for her wildlife paintings, portraiture, fiber art, and fashion illustration. Since 1995, her exclusive focus has been detailed watercolor portrayals of both domestic and wild animals. Janet is active in her local chapter of the National Audubon Society and is a member of several wildlife and animal rescue organizations. Since 2001, her work has been published by the National Audubon Society, the National Geographic Society, the SPCA and the Smithsonian Institution. Her art is licensed in her country and also abroad. She produces art that depicts her respect and love of wild creatures, and her sense of humor regarding the more domestic variety.

It is her use of embellishments and her attention to detail that makes her art unique. Whether she’s in her studio working from the many photos she’s taken at zoos, in the wild, game reserves and parks or in her own living room photographing and sketching the antics of her own animals, she’s always amazed and appreciative of the creatures that nature has to offer. She says that her gift in this lifetime is that of an artist. And so for her, the best way to show her appreciation of animals that she so much enjoys is to depict them in the best way she can. Her pieces of art are highly priced by many discriminating collectors because of their high demand.
