Lisa Morales Wall Art

Lisa Morales considers herself to be a “late bloomer”, but believes in the statement that “better late than never.” She began serious work of art at the age of 42, and took her first drawing class at a community college. Collage, color, and design classes soon followed at the Glassell School of Art. Lisa remembers so well how those first foundation art classes completely changed her perspective about what being an “artist” meant. They opened her eyes and she fell in love with the techniques, the process, the critiques, the paper and the like-minded people. Lisa’s passion became the paper, and it is the main material she uses to create her whimsical collage art. Lisa counts her blessings on daily basis and hopes to be a source of inspiration to all creative late bloomers.

When she is not tearing paper into tiny pieces, texturing and painting, Lisa and her husband enjoy raising their three children. On the weekends Lisa can be found turning ordinary children into super heroes, butterflies and beautiful princesses as a professional face painter. She currently leaves in Houston, Texas where she runs a small roof design business out of their home. She has attracted a huge following of loyal fans who are always on the look out for her inspiring works of art. Looking at her art today it’s not easy to tell that she’s a late comer in this industry. She also open to learning and that has endeared her to many professional artists and students.
