Selma Glass works in a variety of mediums, including abstract and figurative paper sculpture, acrylic, pastel, oil, clay, pen & ink, and mixed media. She’s a self-taught African/American artist whose work has been received with much acclaim and critical praise. Manny awards and shows have established her as a solid fixture in the world of art. Her extensive list of celebrity clientele include the likes of Gladys Knight is among others. Selma has emerged as one of the most creative and dynamic artists in Atlanta. Being a self taught artist, her ideas come naturally. She says she became interested in creating art in 1988 as she passed by Binders Art supply store each day on her way to and from work. The desire to become an artist was so strong that she finally went into the store. Initially she was displeased with her own work but she never gave up and focused her attention on collages.

It’s surprising that today she’s counted among the best artists in the world. Her reputation, her early works and her determination to have the right attitude have all led to her success. Selma is deeply devoted to her convictions in religion and she says she tries daily to love her neighbor and represent her faith and hope in God with positive awareness. She’s thankful every day to be able to express herself through her gift of art, writing and singing. When she looks at a tropical flower, a snow-capped mountain, an incredible rainbow, or a beautiful bird how she marvels! In her art she strives to capture some of the beauty she sees in God’s creation.
