Vera Oxley Wall Art

Vera Oxley was born after the Second World War near Hong Kong. She is the daughter of a Eurasian mother and an American G.I. Vera has been painting since childhood, and her talent was noticed by both her family and friends while she was still very young. She could be seen drawing, sketching or painting whenever she had some free time. She combined her work in the factories with the brush. Local dealers soon praised her drawings, and a local master took her as a student. It is from the master that she learned the mysteries of Oriental watercolors. Vera’s first exhibition was in Macao where she received recognition from the judges. Since then, she has taken part in many successful exhibitions. Her canvasses are full of grace and joy. Her imaging is extraordinarily real, and the brush strokes lush.

Vera’s combination of palette and brush strokes is unique in that while the knife is wildly expressive, the brush strokes are barely visible. She currently lives and paints in her small studio in Northern California. That’s where she’s usually found when she is not travelling on photo or learning tours. Her studio is full of light - and this is reflected in all her paintings. She has a unique technique of rendering her objects to give them an appearance that looks real. Her intense dedication to her art is visible in stroke of each of her Impressionist creations. Many collectors stock ready to mount Vera’s art in a variety of finishing options.
