Chuck Black Wall Art

Chuck Black is a traditional artist and he currently resides in Bozeman, MT. He loves everything nature and he’s a wildlife conservationist at heart. Black’s passion is everything about the outdoors and art is just a channel through which he can express that passion. He’s set out to capture the outdoor lifestyle that has lived for more than 30 years (his age). He grew up along the countryside of Wisconsin and Minnesota and this provided him with a passion for the outdoors ever since he can remember. What he remembers most is he was always trying to capture his time spent outside on paper. He always loved to draw anything, but somewhere in his heart he knew that wildlife was what he really wanted to do. Black received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota where he specialized in wildlife biology.

After graduation, he worked for 6 years as wildlife professional for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks, US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Minnesota DNR and Colorado Parks & Wildlife. He’s been painting with oils acrylics for and more than ten years. In the course of his work, he’s had the honor of gracing both the California duck stamp as well as the Colorado duck stamp with his paintings. Once he relocated to Southwest Montana he decided to pursue his passion for art full-time. His artwork is now enjoyed by 1000s of private and corporate collectors and individuals worldwide.
