Christian Quote Art

Christianity has been a subject for art since the middle ages. As artists in the middle ages started to make art pieces about the religion that lasted though the modern-day. This art is traditional as it features paintings, illustrations, and sculptures. Christian quote art differs from this tradition in terms of the art style as it is universal since it appeals to every branch of the religion.

Before the Reformation, Christian art was both used for teaching and worship purposes. It was quite common for wealthy people to commission a private altarpiece that usually included Christ and the patron's personal saints. Some of these altarpieces feature the patron being blessed by Christ, who is either an infant or an adult, while at least one saint that is important to the patron or the patron's family surrounds the patron.
